Dev Log #8 - Production, Data, Analytic


Production

Production is what I am working on currently. Right now my team is working hard on producing all the assets like art and rulebook aesthetics and layouts. The biggest issue in production is just getting all the art assets for the game. With all this said general rules and mechanics are all done and now we are just playtesting to polish the rulebook and making sure that the rules are understandable. 

Data

In our playtests, we realized that we had failed to recognize what happens when all the staus cards run out. To add some of the players had a tough time understanding the rules.  This is important because we want the players to understand the game fully before playing because we are making a board game. However, all the player who understood the rules had a fun time playing the game and the reception for the effect tiles were overwhelmingly positive. 

Analytic

The way we are playtesting is through Roll 20 which makes playtesting easier. The only problem I have with it is that it does not 100% depict the final product for our game will be physical. We have made some changes to the board by shortening the number of tiles on all sides. The problem with the rulebook right now is mostly the lack of visuals. This is something we are working hard to achieve to get done with in a couple of weeks.
